On 1 March, Andrea Tiburli became a member of National Council of Unionmeccanica Confapi, the union of the Italian companies belonging to the metallurgical industry.
On the occasion of the appointment, Andrea Tiburli stated:
"Our goal will be to focus on the development of the metallurgical industry, a very important sector for our economy that represents the best of our SMEs and Made in Italy in the foreign market. We often hear that small and medium-sized industries are the backbone of our economy: it is so, so much so that the Italian one is the second manufacturing industry in Europe."
The new Council, in addition to Andrea Tiburli, is composed of: Antonio Casano (Api Turin), Giorgio Bianco (Api Turin), Cristian Camisa (Confapindustria Piacenza), Piero Dell'Oca (Api Lecco), Mario Di Giorgio (Api Novara VCO e Vercelli), Giuseppe Frulla(Confapi Pesaro Urbino), Ilaria Minucci (Confapi Arezzo), Francesco Napoli (Confapi Calabria), Giannino Pozzi (Confapi Varese) and Mariella Soncina (Apindustria Brescia).
